Topic: Perfect Future and The G - May UK/Euro tour 2010 - CANCELLED

So I just came up with a rough tour outline for this tour:

15 - London
16 - Birmingham
17 - Leeds @ The Peanut Gallery
18 - Glasgow @ The  13th Note
19 - Newcastle @ Cumberland Arms w/ mansions of glory + 2 more
20 - Manchester @ The Retro Bar
21 - Brighton*
22 - Cambridge
23 - Norwich
24 - Anywhere!, The Netherlands
25 - Cologne, Germany*
26 - Berlin, Germany*
27 - Hamburg, Germany*
28 - Kiel, Germany*
29 - Syddanmark, Denmark*
30 - Copenhagen, Denmark *
31 - Brussel, Belgium

The one with * mean that I already have someone working on that show.

But yeah, I've never booked any sort of tour outside of the States, so any help at all with shows, contacts, cities to steer clear of, cities to definitely go to, sweet vegan restaurants, easy ways to travel, or any other sort of suggestions would be appreciated more than you realize.

We're from Maryland.  Last summer our s/t cd came out on sncl and count your lucky stars.  It's obviously pretty emo, but sometimes we get pretty heavy.  I've heard us compared with Kolya, Strictly Ballroom, Yaphet Kotto, Minus The Bear, Indian Summer, and Black Sabbath.

PF played a show with this band last summer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and they blew me away.  They're Lo-fi, garage rock but also aggressive and real catchy.  I'm not an expert on this genre but it makes me think of Slint, Pavement, and The Melvins.



While I'm at it, now seems like as good as any place to mention that we have two new splits planned.  First is a split 7" with Reaching Away on strictly no capital letters.  Reaching Away is 3/4 of The Pine, and they sound like a more mature version of what they were doing, but on acoustics this time around.  The other split is an lp with List on Get Stoked records (USA), Hansei records (Scotland), internationale records (england), ezes code (japan), and perhaps a couple other labels.  List is ex members of Life At These Speeds and they sound like they came straight from the 90's.

Bump because Johmer2000 is a sweet dude and is getting us a show in Leeds too!

So as of right now, we got 3 shows in the UK and 2 in the mainland of Europe being worked on.  I'm so stoked!

Wallyofdoom - I really hope that we end up getting shows in those areas.  In particular, I hope that my buddies in The Black Atlantic end up able to help out/play the Groningen show.

madelief, who posts on this board, used to do shows in the Vera basement in Groningen. Maby he can hook you guys up with a show there. The Vera basement is an awesome venue for shows smile

I've been having real trouble with Groningen.  It sucks, because I want to play there really bad!  And yeah, I got nothing for Amsterdam yet, but The G said they have emailed a couple of places.  So yeah my fingers are crossed!

We have someone working on Berlin.

The G told me that they have some wild BMX dudes who said they could basically fill in all the rest of the UK shows.

I have someone looking into a show in The Netherlands.  I can't remember the town, but it was like an hour south of Amsterdam.

So if everyone comes through, then all we really need is France.  Does anyone have any good leads, haha?

Looks like we are going to be bailing on France since we have not been able to find any shows.  So we are going to try to get a couple more shows in the UK.  I'll let you know what our updated tour route looks like when I make it.

Anyways, Johmer is the fucking man, because he just confirmed venues for the Manchester show and the Leeds show.

I really hope that we are able to play Norwich too!  I emailed Pennines to see if they might be able to help because they rule and I'd love to play with them and because we are label-mates twice over, haha.  Hopefully that works out!
