Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

Go back to vl-wee-wee and CMHWAK you tit.l

a thug changes and love changes and best friends become strangers word up

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

don't post on vl-wee-wee, but either way - NICE POST. glad you took a few seconds of your life to conjure up that valid and constructive input.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

I am really interested to know why the first and second to last bands listed are uncapitalised, but the rest are not.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

the only band that's not uncapitalised (as far as I can see) is gods reflex, because they typeset it like that.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

do you also type

rainer|maria

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

I thought the other two were bands. I am now glad that you have changed what I thought was a band name (APREEEEEEEEEESH - as this was a word that was unknown to me) to the word 'appreciation'. Now it looks as though 'etc' is just a word and not a band. Thank-you for clarifying that and quashing my interest in the above list of bands.

didn't know they typeset it like that. I do write rest of my life though.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

Please can you explain what the lyrics "teeelll your mooom you need a daaaayyy offffff
so we can plaaayyyy ooouuut in the raaaiiiiiiinnn
we'll caatch a riiiidddee tooo theee mmaaaaallllll,
go down to the arcaaade
caaause that's where aaaalllll the coooool kiiiiids haaaaaaaaannnnnngggggg" mean to you and why "no other band could ever make those lyrics sound like the saddest shit ever". Thank-you.

i did this, with the auto corrector as it was making me feel violently sick.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

@fray if you listen to the song, it owns a distinct melancholic and sad quality. both the weeping guitars and the fragile vocals results in a very downhearted mood, in which he could just as well be crying "I like rainbows and butterflies with bunnies on top", and it'd still sound sad.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

Can you show me this sadness in a picture? I am having difficulty seeing this in my meandering mind's eye.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

I suggest you just listen to the song.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

I've not heard any of those bands, thanks for bringing them to my attention. Could you pick out some choice selections for me?

I would like to know what it means to you, in your interpretation. I could listen to it, but would be only able to know how I felt about it (probably sad and tearful).

hahaha

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

why would you like to know what it means to me, seeing as how that's completely irrelevant to your potential reaction to the song? once again, I just suggest you just listen to the song. even if you are just trolling atm.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

I just wanted you to expand on "no other band could ever make those lyrics sound like the saddest shit ever" and to get a picture of what it means before I ask what the song is and which artist performs it.
I also don't understand what a trolling atm is. Is it a cashpoint under a bridge?

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

there is no need for further expansion on the statement, as it is a fairly direct sentence that should be easily to comprehend for most. it simply means that the band has a unique way of making lyrics like that sound sad, by wrapping them in a sad atmosphere and pouring loads of emotion into the vocals.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

How would you like me to appreciate any of the above bands? I could clap my hands and cheer, but I must confess I am unsure how well this would convey on the internet. I could video this? Or maybe expressing my opinion in a written piece or a drawing would suffice.

Re: '90s emo/alternative-ish upbeat melodic bands appreciation

you guys are too funny.
