Topic: Emo with no/minimal drums

Well the topic is pretty self explanatory... Arguably the emo-est of the emo.
examples:
THAT July song, the acoustic Die Emperor Die release, some I Hate Myself, Stavros, those two acoustic Hated songs

what else is there out there?? Can be acoustic or not.

Re: Emo with no/minimal drums

nah, acoustic emo does not exist. those songs are just sad.

Re: Emo with no/minimal drums

isn't there a neil perry song that's a bit screechy with no drums? someone here will remember the name

I'm not singing for the future
I'm not dreaming of the past
I'm not talking of the first time
I never think about the last

Re: Emo with no/minimal drums

i believe that neil perry song is entitled 'im sad for you'

its a good one!

i am a sick man... i am an spiteful man. i am an unattractive man. i believe my liver is diseased.

OoA

Re: Emo with no/minimal drums

Not listened to it for a while but that one song on the Duct Hearts [new band from Daniel / Wishes On A Plane] had no / not much drums on. It was a cracker.

On that note, I still have a couple of copies of the Wishes On A Plane 10" if anyone is after it, I know Andy is out of stock. Properly amazing record.

Re: Emo with no/minimal drums

Cheers guys, Deadwood Divine is just what I'm looking for... and yes, that Duct Hearts song is a certified cracker...

Some more songs I forgot to mention, for anyone who wants to look into this in the future: Face Drawings by The Pine, Home So Possibly Home by Evergreen, the last track on the Eurich discography (titled Bored if memory serves me correctly) and a personal favourite, Smith Corona 1955 by Treetops.
