OWLS have just reformed apparently

TBH if they do a new album I'm sure it will be brilliant as the last JOA which basically sounded a lot like Owls was their best in about a decade

They're doing an album.

Yes! Saw Joan Of Arc do a couple of Owls tracks on their last tour over here actually, and it was fucking great - didn't know it could get any better than that but it just did.

Re: Reformation thread

They made a cunt of the owls song they played at joan of arc in weegieland. I thought that was funny. My pal was a bit upset though.

I saw Feedtime in San Francisco and they were completely excellent. It was always old man music, in a sense, so now they really are old men, it's still great.

that would have been awesome. yeah - i think there are definitely bands whose aesthetic, sound and lyrical content don't suffer from discontinuity issues when performed 20-30 years on.

it is odd though to have a band reunite that might have played gigs infrequently even in their heyday, that never toured extensively, and then have them do full blown tours and rack up more shows in one tour than they would have played in a year back in the day (or altogether in some cases). feedtime are definitely not the most extreme example of this, i just think it's kind of odd.

You know I actually thought they sounded a little sloppy myself when I saw them play the few tracks off the LP. Didn't upset me too much though, I was wankered!

Definitely, I had a massive surprise when I went to see the Stereo at the Vic and it turned out they were supporting Man or Astroman. They had a theramin that was on fire! I was highly impressionable at such a young age though.
