Re: Electronic Music

cabaret voltaire. maybe chris & cosey? obviously the first martin rev solo record is as essential as the first 2 suicide lps too

i'm really into that schaltkreis wassermann lp but that's possibly a little european synthpop for your taste, definitely less 'punk' than suicide or jj burnel

the minimal wave tapes comps on stones throw & lost/found/hidden comps on minimal wave recs have some cool stuff on them but the tracks vary quite wildly from post-punk & industrial to pop/disco

You can stream the new Forest Swords album on P4K now:

Re: Electronic Music

The new Forest Swords album is really great. Got hold of the new OPN and Tim Hecker albums but haven't listened to them properly yet.

If anyone's bored tonight Wolfgang Voigt is playing Boiler Room at 8:30 which you can, obviously, watch online:

Re: Electronic Music

Om Unit are incredible. bringing back d&b style breakbeats but picking various bits of modern stuff too. had no idea Metalheadz even still existed either.

Re: Electronic Music

new Pye Corner Audio album is a triumph - http://pyecorneraudio.bandcamp.com/albu … apes-vol-4

Re: Electronic Music

new Holly Herndon EP is great. video is like a nightmarish 90s Microsoft virtual reality presentation. total weird electronics but with control and proper production that marks out the best stuff

Re: Electronic Music

on a similar theme, the Katie Gately album is dead good. great sounds and production but dead weird and experimental at the same time - https://publicinformation.bandcamp.com/ … tie-gately

Re: Electronic Music

Enjoying the whole "hauntology"/Ghost Box Records brain trust lately - have Mind How You Go by The Advisory Circle playing currently. A real gem. Boards of Canada meets Stereolab.

Re: Electronic Music

RIP

Re: Electronic Music

Totally into this after Ewan posted it up on faceache. Can anyone recommend any similar stuff. I know of nothing when it comes down to this type of stuff.

Re: Electronic Music

if you want glitchy cosmic techno vibes, not sure anyone does it better than actress tbh:

and then other semi-obvious stuff like oneohtrix point never, motion sickness of time travel... most stuff on hospital productions though it tends towards the 'darker' side (ron morelli, silent servant, etc.)

can give you a bunch of recommendations if i see you at human hands/carson wells!

Re: Electronic Music

Loving the new Rrose EP. Lots of synthy layers with splashings of acid house deep down. Best listened to very loud.

A few more electronic dwellings I really can't get enough of. Pretty much anything on Opal Tapes like IVVO, but Patricia's album is just perfection:

as is:

Re: Electronic Music

Re: Electronic Music

Holly Herndon keeps banging out great stuff. some kind of love song about NSA spies with a load of related graphics
