Topic: HELP! Running 2 cabs from 1 head

I have zero knowledge on doing this. Anyone have any insight? My head can switch between 4,8 and 16 ohms. I wanna run it through 2 cabs to get a bigger sound but doint want to blow my amp up in the process.

Re: HELP! Running 2 cabs from 1 head

1) If you have two 8 ohm cabs running from two outputs on your head (called parallel) then you set it to 4 ohms.

Two 4 ohm cabs, set it to 2 ohms.

2)f you have two cabs daisy chained from a single output on your head (called series) you add up the ohms.

Two 8 ohm cabs, set to 16 ohm.

Nine times out of ten it's Case 1, so divide by 2.
