Resurrecting this thread as we're putting out CHESNTUT ROAD's debut album on Vinyl next month as a corelease with Brassneck and Speedowax...
Side A is the demo from last year, Side B five brand new songs...

We also have copies of the CD version (which contains bonus Hooton 3 car and I Excuse covers not on the vinyl) released in Japan by Waterslide records too...

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

Oh yes - sorry andy i did a search for their name and actually thought this was on the recommedn a band / listen to this page not general ! Blocko cd heading out the door to review today by the qay , hopefully some one will review our other stuff we sent in soon....

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

haha, no worries - they are quality so ignore my pedantry.

a bunch of stuff you sent is with a few new reviewers. just not had much demand for review stuff in general lately, not just things you sent in, unfortunately. were there any in particular that spring to mind?

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

unless i missed them, i don't think anything apart from revulsion got reviewed in teh last 6 months to be honest chief.. certainly can't remembr seeing reviews for anything we released last year apart from it..

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

ouch, sorry sad well, i sent a few BT things out the other week, so hopefully they'll get done.

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

Some very kind person has made me aware of a Reverse cd of stuff I've never heard (I am guessing an album that never came out). To me, it sounds a little Get Up Kids... It's certainly the weather to enjoy it.
A few of the tunes are on here: http://sprecords.bandcamp.com/album/chasing-ghosts

I like music.

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

If Andy is ok with this, could someone please upload some Elmerhassel for me ? (in 320kbps or more, thank you.) Can't find anything on blogspots or online anymore sad

Thanks!

More power to me.

Oh man, that'd be perfect, thank you. I recently got a mixtape that has "Dehydration" on it and I just can't help listening to it over and over. So good. Need more. Aaaah. Cheers smile

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

the new chestnut road album is very good.

Re: 1990s to present day, melodic punk from thee U.K.

i agree with pitmanfan on the second chestnut road. there is so much of this style coming out nowadays it's hard to keep up. having a razorcake subscription is almost essential.

for those who can get behind the Lawrence arms sort of stuff, you should check out elway. they tread the line between bitter and uplifting perfectly.

i must have had a dream about you... cause i woke up in the worst of moods
