Topic: NEIL CAMPBELL / ELEANOR CULLY / DANIEL THOMAS. Leeds, 16 July
Sunday Matinee! 16 July
Governed by forces beyond, Neil Campbell uses any number of different audio set-ups to create an almighty upsurge of spirit. A true legend of the UK's "See you there, mate!" music scene, Neil might be familiar to you from acts including Vibracathedral Orchestra, Astral Social Club, A-Band and Smell & Quim... or from his solo appearances, as you will witness here!
Composer and vocalist Eleanor Cully has worked with voice, guitar and piano to create site specific audio installations, with recent works in both Prague and the USA. Part of Huddersfield’s Baconjam composer collective, this will be her first Leeds appearance of the year.
Daniel Thomas is the overseer of both the Sheepscar Light Industrial and Cherry Row Recordings labels from Leeds, and has just dropped his latest release ‘Keep the Red Kites Flying’. It’s brooding and minimal stuff, carefully balanced between beat-based electronica and freeform noise.
