Topic: Explosions in the Sky...

I just got back. To be more accurate, I got there, was told it was sold out, then came home. A Sixty mile round trip for NOTHING. It wouldn't bother me so much if it wasn't a) an ace band and b) the venue, ticketmaster.co.uk and wayahead.com bastards didn't tell me that I could get in on the door at 7pm.  sad  Boooo.

Holy f*cking Ghost.

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

Oh man, are they all selling out? I'm going to the manchester gig on the 8th, you reckon its worth purchasing beforehand?
Hmm. Not actually heard anything by them. What kinda music style are we looking at here?

I often mistake Neil Diamond for some okra

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

i couldnt get to the gig

it was sold out  8O

they are post rock but they do something like bands like city of caterpillar so the screamo kids bum them, i think they are pretty class, proper atmospheric build ups and massive guitars and stuff

tis good

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

in leeds they are playing the budenell social club. Its gonna packed as fuck so there is little chance we wil get in. I think me,matt and petethefeet are going to see etid instead. hahaha!!!

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

I'd buy your ticket in advance, the two london shows have been sold out for a while. Think somewhere along the lines between built to spill and mogwai... ish.
Dan, tell pete he isn't allowed to go up to Leeds until me and Maja go! sad

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

come up with him!

pete never comes up anyway. i doubt he will come

Manchester is "Sold Out", but you can kind-of get tickets from Wayahead.com, although.. they haven't sent them, yet. But they accepted the order, therefore I will be getting in smile[/i]

Actually, yes, I would prefer to see Every Time I Die. Explosions in the Sky bore me to tears. Almost. What a boring band.

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

If you missed them anywhere else, come to Nottingham tonight. Nottingham never sells out, for any band, ever. Nobody can afford to see bands here after spending all their money on hair products...

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

so what did everyone think.

i thought they were awesome big_smile  just a shame they couldn't have played longer...

Re: Explosions in the Sky...

Are they actually close to what they do on record? If they can get anywhere near then I'm well excited.

Chariots (emo-violence)
Shooting Victor Francis (local bad who enjoy a good spazz)

The Old Angel - Nottingham (about £3)
