Re: Tattoos

anyone have any recommendations for tattooists in london that can do decent gnarly sea creatures and doesn't have a stupid long waiting list (a couple of months would be ideal)?

i'm waiting on an appointment from tiny miss becca but that won't be for a few months yet so i may as well get my left sleeve finished in the meantime.

I forgot to post mine - I got it a few months ago and it's my first ever one.  By Liam Sparkes.

So nice.

Ghost: maybe check out Christie ('Xty') at Kids Love Ink in Deptford. Small waiting list, zero bullshit involved, I had something done by him and was very happy with it.

Re: Tattoos

decided i'm probably just gonna get it done by bob done at magnum opus in brighton as it'll be cheaper all round and the other stuff i'm getting in the next few months is gonna be pretty pricey. thanks anyway though.

Still to get geometric patterns done in the horns and then get the rest of the space around it on my shin filled with more geometric stuff in dotwork from my knee to my foot.  Got it from Ema at Cumstom Inc. in Glasgow!  Really pleased with it so far.

Re: Tattoos

Im planning on getting an adaptation of this:

http://www.dragoart.com/tuts/pics/5/1948/how-to-draw-a-cherry-tree-tutorial-drawing.jpg

I just need to find someone who will adapt it to what I want without charging me 100 quid to trace it and change a few lines.

This will be my fourth tattoo.

Re: Tattoos

I've been thinking about getting some dot work done.

Any one recommend a good artist?

Absolute madness, looks amazing!

Re: Tattoos

I have one, its shite:

http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/144/8/1/my_shite_tattoo_by_freakboi2011-d3h441c.jpg

I also have a shitty stick and poke of a pentagram on my right thigh from when I was about 13.

I hope to get more that are less shite.

Specifically, I want to get the Motörhead War Pig on my back (the one from Inferno), a barcode and a biohazzard symbol on the back of my neck, The Northampton Saints logo on my left forearm (just the text graphic facing out), "VIVAT CARNE NOVA" written underneath the England tattoo I currently have, a soviet hammer and sickle in a star with "Northampton Home Brew" written underneath it in Soviet style font on my upper left arm and "Maximum Psycho" written in a blocky 3d font between my collar bones.

Entirely.  I love trucker tattoos, prison tats etc. because they relate far more to my upbringing and my surroundings than anything else I can think of.  I've always supported the Saints, I've always been completely obsessed with industrial warning signs, particularly the biohazzard symbol (not totally sure why), even the Soviet imagery is a reference to growing up in Northampton (there are currently two soviet themed bars, there used to be three, there is tons of soviet-looking graffiti around town etc.), "Maximum Psycho" was the nickname of a friend of mine who died 6 years ago and, well, I love Motörhead.  I suppose the other reason for that style of tattoo is that they are just the polar opposite of the pretentious tribal shit that so many people have now.  I also can't really see thin lines on tattoos very well, I have to focus really hard on them otherwise it just looks like a blur, no idea why.

But why ENGLAND, under a union jack. Should it not be a st george cross?

Oh you have only BEGUN to see how dumb the tattoo is.  Its an American Eagle... infront of a Union Flag, with "England" written underneath it.  Not to mention there is no shading on the flag whatsoever so, rather than the flag looking like its blowing in the wind, it looks more like the artist doesn't know how to draw the flag.  Also, the colouring on the Eagle is WAY off.  I actually love it for how stupid it is.

Surely something that "straightforward" would be included in the cost? My girlfriend has a autumnal type tree on her forearm, took a bunch of sketches, and they drew it in about 15 odd minutes.

My next will maybe be the image on this shirt
