Re: Celebrities you've seen in the flesh - where and when

Darth Vader (David Prowse) was I was about 4. He picked me up and I cried like a mofo. It was Darth fucking vader for christsake! Lord of Darkness.
I saw Dean Gaffney too coming out of Boots at Picadilly Circus. My mate shouted, "god he's even uglier in real life" at him. Harsh. But fair.
Rob Halford in a Virgin Megastore in Amsterdam.
Phil Kay shouted at us from a Car Window stopped at traffic lights in Edinburgh "Why is Arthur's Seat Called Arthur's Seat?"
Mark Lamar at a Rocket From The Crypt gig. Mark Lamar the next nigh at a john spencer blues explosion gig.
Almost every stand up comedian going actually, edinburgh isn't that big so when the festival is on you trip over the bastards everywhere.

dimebag darrel - i think i also saw him at the borderline!  not 100% about that one, though

Re: Celebrities you've seen in the flesh - where and when

Served room service to Carol Vorderman in a hotel in Leeds city centre. She also had a bottle of champagne and a couple of glasses sent to her room by a gentleman staying elsewhere in the hotel.

Also served room service to Jermaine Pennant and his wag a couple of times. He's a nice guy, though never had a top on.

None of the above tipped though. Scum.

Re: Celebrities you've seen in the flesh - where and when

weirdly i never see celebrities, since i started working by carnaby street we have a celebrity sightings board in the office which this week i got to add pixie geldof next to goldie hawn and jeff goldblum. The absolute best one that made me so happy was just yesterday, I walked past Super Hans, he was leaning against a wall rolling a cigarette on broadwick street. <3

Re: Celebrities you've seen in the flesh - where and when

I mind my mates met Lemmy in a bar in LA. They went up and spoke to him and he said:
"Scottish? Fuck off."
They insist he did it with a firendly smile and this was good banter.
