Re: recommend new indie rock / pop

probably slightly old news, but one of my favourite albums of last year was the Light Sleepers - We Are Gathering Dust

really great slacker-ish 90's indie like pavement/yo la tengo with sweet melodies.

i'm really looking forward to the new tape coming out on Suplex Cassettes, who are also releasing the Teen Sheikhs tape.

it really is a great record. i thought it was pretty average at first but it's a major grower. i think all the songs on myspace are from the new tape, but the old stuff is just as nice. cd is definately worth picking up here

Re: recommend new indie rock / pop

i will acquire a copy. bands like that should send us stuff for review for sure.

Re: recommend new indie rock / pop

Weird, I play in  Touch Committee and was about to post some links to bands I currently play in for this thread.

Mr. Malcolm beat me!

In addition to Touch Committee, I play in a couple other indie rock groups that I think a few of you may like...

i really like the jangly riff on teenage summer, hints of promise ring. these guys would go down well in front of a fest crowd.
