a nice new song from cults. the production is a bit off though i reckon. the mp3 i heard sounds rather trebly.
new washed out song is a good un. lp in a couple of months or so.
I like this band, too: http://www.last.fm/music/emetrex
It is maybe not so much shoegaze but like dreampop I guess.
heres a couple ive posted in my blog:
http://mindintrusion.blogspot.com/search?q=bows
http://mindintrusion.blogspot.com/search?q=ifwhen
i guess the former is more triphop than shoegazer but whatever.
i recorded this saturday.................the kickoff show of their tour with caulfield and beartrap...........it appears that they have a show in birmingham in the UK on the second of july.........
the new Big Troubles songs are next level. gonna be an LP on Slumberland end of the year, cannot wait.

Were they good? Did they play them live or are they online somewhere?

yeah, played and hung with them last night, they shredded. they only played 2 tracks off 'Worry', the rest was new. really jangly and poppy, a couple of tunes sounded like Girls.
yeah big troubles were pretty tight live in support of ducktails and julian lynch the other night in london. less noisy than I was expecting. not sure which incarnation of the band I prefer, but either way its all good.
I enjoyed the working over Lynch made to his material. much prefer the originals but it was fun to see what he did with the songs live.
edit: oh, and the new lynch album is supersuper nice again. I think I prefer it to the last one, even. a bit more straight up.
yeah, he's a totally different monster live to on record
only a few tracks in but the pure-x lp is sounding pretty much perfect.
The Pure-X album is one of my favourites of the year.
Not entirely sure if it fits in here but that new Balam Acab song - http://soundcloud.com/tri_angle_records … cab-oh-why
God it's good.
on the acephale page it says the UK release of pure-x is a month later. do you know if a uk label is co-releasing it or do you reckon that's just for distro purposes?
Got a strange feeling Tri Angle might be doing a euro release of it but can't be sure, just vague memories of random tweets ha ha
I'll try and find out
Edit: Tell a lie, it's definitely not coming out on tri-angle
good grief, now a memory tapes lp. times are busy. 2 tracks in (excluding the intro), this is spot on! definitely better than washed out so far. very pop.
new Still Corners. Signed to Subpop!
Its good. love her whisperings. I only have that lovely 7" they put out the other month - what's the older cd like?
edit: too stupid to embed code. the song is here http://www.subpop.com/artists/still_corners
Not sure if I should post this in the indie thread or here. Shoegazy-indie with female vocals. A bit like the pains of being pure at heart maybe.
my buddies in Mammal Airlines have just done a new EP, you can grab it here.
the last track is very very good, maybe a little bit emo?? still defo shoegazey/noise pop
dude from beach fossils for some reason needed another solo project.
So what do people think of the Balam Acab and Sleep Over albums?
I kind of love them both.
is the sleep over lp out? if so, where do i get it?
