a few tracks in, it's not really what i was after. i reckon boy friend will make a more interesting lp. this is a bit too spaced out. nice background music though.

Yeah it's definitely less song-ey. Owes a massive debt to Cocteau Twins, think I've said that before.

I'm making a playlist for the car, re-visiting all this kind of stuff, but this has come out top. Reminds me of summer 2006

wasn't really into them at first but i just gave them a listen again recently.
now im convinced that they're stellar and have been playing 'sports' and 'red' regularly.
oh and they're on slumberland too.

Highly enjoying Youth Lagoon and Boy Friend. Cheers, Malcolm! Not sure if the latter will beat Sleep Over's LP, though... That and Balam Acab's LPs are gonna be tough records to knock off the top for me. Was snowboarding to Sleep Over today, felt like I was flying. Was quite the moment.

you can pick that whirr lp up for £9.99ppd from HMV.com - which is peculiar. they also have the boy friend lp for £10.99, substantially less than i paid from the label.

not shoegaze related but i bought the newest future islands LP off of HMV.com for £9.99ppd too, needless to say i was very confused
