Topic: Looking for a certain sound - Cap'n Jazz/OnTheMightOfPrinces acoustics

OK, so I dug out my copy of 'On The Might Of Princes - The Making of Conversation' earlier today.

There are 4 bonus tracks towards the end, 2 of them being these beautiful little lo-fi acoustics, probably recorded to a tape machine or cassette. Similar sort of sound as the Cap'n Jazz song 'Ooh Do I Love You' (the acoustic version at the end of the anthology).

But yeah, I'm looking for any other artists that do a similar sound. Seriously need more of this. Are there any one off songs that bands have done like this like OTMOP did. Or anyone that you know who has made something similar that I should know about. Or any tips on getting those sounds. I'm seriously all ears.

Here's the songs in question:
OTMOP 2 tracks - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UA2DSVW8
Cap'n Jazz - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O2LB3WN5

See what you can think of.

what i'd give to see the universe in its entirety...

it's not acoustic but end i might appeal as it's a solo thing lou fontana did. it's just guitar and vocals.

...tis all in peeces, all cohaerence gone...

It's a good 7" from what I remember. Try contact Mike Rok Lok and see if he can sort mp3s of it for you, as it's OOP.

Ahhh.. the End I 7 inch. I pressed 300 of those all on green vinyl several years ago and it is long out of print. I'll see if I can dig up the master or rip the vinyl perhaps. However I do know Interpunk still has a few copies remaining. Perhaps some distros overseas still have a copy or two laying around, as plenty of those found their way across the pond via trading.
