Re: Sky:Lark!

Re: Sky:Lark!

The wedding bass player is mental.

You don't remember me...........do you.

Re: Sky:Lark!

Liking this, but the guy watching you in the foreground in the accompanying picture absolutely scares the shit out of me for some reason!

Putting the chat amongst the pigeons.

Re: Sky:Lark!

i still need to buy the LP! who does (still) have it?

Re: Sky:Lark!

you can buy it from us on the bandcamp, still got a bunch! or SNCL, Parade of Spectres, ForceFed, Keep Screaming, Art for Blind, Super Fi...........I think that's it. Any distros who want it can get it touch for trades/wholesale.

Re: Sky:Lark!

Haha, Beastdale does look mental in that photo.

Re: Sky:Lark!

I think I had done quite a lot of soop by that point in the night, and I may have been possessed by the dragon.

New song's dead good!

Re: Sky:Lark!

put another new song up on the bandcamp - waiting too long for other bands to record (soon) and can't bear just sitting on finished mastered songs. This is not about the Vatican in Rome, rather the one in East London, run by the most coked up person I may have ever met.

Re: Sky:Lark!

I like the cheeky one the best.

I think you should change the colon to a semi-colon to generate a bit of buzz.

I think they should use 3 colons in total, because that's what this band are.

"Context plays a big part in the way a band name such as 'Sky:Lark' may be perceived. In the UK, colons are not present. Ordinarily, our English teachers do not even teach colon usage. Within this context, an idea such as a lark following sky in a syntactical-deductive, syntactical-descriptive, appositive, or segmental mode seems too absurd to be taken seriously.

However, eight years on, things have changed. With our music now finding new cultures, the irony of the name is no longer implicit. Also, in light of the controversy over colon usage in the US as well as tragic misuses there and elsewhere in the world, we want to distance ourselves from a band name which we are now uncomfortable with."

also i like the new songs but not nearly as much as i like your bandcamp background

Re: Sky:Lark!

hello, quick update. The much delayed split with Wedding is not going to happen as soon as we thought (although hopefully one day). We will soon be releasing a split 7" with Meadows that will be out on SuperFi, which we're all pretty excited about. Also there is going to be a split tape with furious vegan James Stringer aka Meatpacker that should have come out about 4 months ago, but we're being hold ups, sorry James. After this we're going to do a split with meandgoliath, more details to follow.

Also we have shirts left over from tour so if you'd like one and aren't likely to be at show or anything any time soon then you can get them off the closest thing we have to a website, bandcamp. There's a bundle thing where you can get a shirt and a record for a tenner. Bargain!

Meadows split is actually 100% a thing you can buy now, if you so wish. Really pleased with everything going on here, Ellie did awesome artwork and Ben @ Outside World did an incredible job on the screen prints.
