Topic: Sky:Lark!

http://skylark.bandcamp.com

Sky:Lark have recorded an album, and it's now up for your listening pleasure. It's also out on 12" where it sounds better. You can buy it from the bandcamp and a few distros. Handscreened covers and a Risographed booklet insert.

We're up for playing shows whenever we can.

We recorded these songs with Jamie Frye at Above All Studios in Cliftonville (Margate), he was awesome.

We take influence from : Stop It!!, Kidcrash, Fugazi, Hot Snakes, Shellac and many others (of course).

Thanks for your time!

i strongly advise people to pick this up. the 12" is a real labour of love and has hand-made screen printed inlays and covers. REALLY good songs aswell!

Re: Sky:Lark!

The best.

Re: Sky:Lark!

DEAD GOOD.

Re: Sky:Lark!

i don't know why, but i'm a Mastadon vibe at points when listening to the album.....odd.

...tis all in peeces, all cohaerence gone...

Re: Sky:Lark!

Would it be possible to insert more punctuation into the band name on future releases also?

e.g. ¬"£$%^&*()_+={]}[@'#~></|\

Re: Sky:Lark!

would it be possible to insert more into johnbear's butt?

and lolz at this band not knowing who red scare where until 5mins ago.

but seriously, awesome dudes, awesome band.

smell ya later.

Re: Sky:Lark!

i love these tracks how they are, no need for a re-record! johnbears 8 track comes up trumps again.

Re: Sky:Lark!

I guess it works even better in the hands of people who know how to use it properly eh?

Love the 12" but really like how these newer songs are closer to how amazing it sounds live.

My favourite part of that recording was when you and Oli P, having previously used said 8-track to record a demo, stepped up to help out and show me how it worked.......oh wait!

We all know how you much you like to share control of things when you get in a practice room...

Re: Sky:Lark!

Even more LOLZ at the fact that all four of you buttholes phoned steve and i at home to ask how said recorder worked, this is while we were balls deep in a mega fifa tourno.  Not cool.  Call Johnbear.

CENTURION BEAST!

His phone was out of battery so we had to go for the inferior, second best option.

It was unfruitful.
