Their facebook page has this...

Mission:    Release all of your favorite music on the highest quality vinyl from the original source tapes. Hear the classics all over again for the very first time...

Re: art monk construction

Was there not a Samuel full-length that never got released?

Spot you for the Reach Out/Honeywell 7"

Re: art monk construction

Are these records even hard to find? what's next? Tree records reissues? Caulfield?

Re: art monk construction

most of them go for pretty cheap on ebay / second hand record stores and the ones i wanted up till now have always been quite easy to get...

Re: art monk construction

Don't knock it. Reissues would be a good thing.

Re: art monk construction

Furnace now offers vinyl pressing. AMC dude owns Furnace. Probably gets to press these for virtually nothing.

Re: art monk construction

i can't stand the redskins and i enjoy their long run of overspending and failing miserably, but art monk was awesome.

i also like that the nfl record for receptions at that time was 819. some guys get that in a season these days it seems.

Yes, this is the holy grail of mid-90's indiemo to me

this is actually not true at all anymore... only for some stuff.
i would actually really like to see the kerosene 454 lp repressed...

also, where the seven storey mountain and trans megetti lp's any good?

Re: art monk construction

The Seven Storey Mountain ep was better than the LP, in my opinion.

Trans Megetti were good all around. Steal the Jet Keys is a must-have.

be great if they finally released it

Major Wants : To The Point "mentally checked out' 7"
the Death Dust Extractor 12" & Crisis 7"s at punk prices...
and I do a weird record label http://tadpolerecords.blogspot.co.uk/

Re: art monk construction

I used to totally dig the Trans Megetti! I picked up the split 7" with Frodus on a whim aaaaaaages ago. They both toured the UK at some point but I never found out about it.

I think Fading Left To Completely On is the better TTM album, but that wasn't Art Monk. Gern Blandsten I think? Had that cool 50's rockin' inflected punk vibe like Hot Snakes / RFTC had. Noodly bass action too

Re: art monk construction

i have the rent a rocket 7" which i really like. i'll have to check out the lp's soon!

Re: art monk construction

Samuel were fucking awful.

Re: art monk construction

I really liked them at the time. Junction with Demko on guitar were much better.

I loved the first song The Trans Megetti lp, but cannot remember the rest at all.

Re: art monk construction

Glendale were my favourite art monk band. Great rock that you could cry to, too.

Re: art monk construction

trans megetti!
