Cambridge punk/hardcore gig tomorrow night!
Monday April 2nd, The Portland Arms Cambridge

THE AMISTAD
For those who don't know; The Amistad hail from Sheffield, some of you may well recognize the band from their previous incarnation as Four Dumb Kids, and this pretty much leaves off where that band finished ; Their brand of gruff pop/punk brings to mind bands like Leatherface, Latterman and Dillinger Four (although with a distinct UK twist ).

MC IPOD
MC iPod plays whiteboy-electro-rap-pop-punk. Currently from Cambridge, Ian previously lived in Norwich and also spent some time on the South Coast. MC iPod has been going since 2005 and has played many gigs alongside some amazing and varied artists; including MC Lars, Bomb the Music Industry, Sonic Boom Six, The Luchagors, The Menzingers and loads more. He has released several CDs and is far, far too old for this shit.

New Cambridge pop-punk band. First gig. Rad.

Re: East Anglia (Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Cambridge)

Anyone know anyone from this area (Norwich more specifically) that'd be willing to drive 4 guys around the UK (essentially to Bristol and then shows on the way back to Norwich) for 4 days in June? Petrol costs will be covered.

Re: East Anglia (Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Cambridge)

I've got a couple more shows to bung up here:

Bank Holiday Monday May 7th.  At The Corner House, Cambridge
Broken Window Effect - Melodic punk like Samiam or Gaslight Anthem from Norwich
plus 2 or 3 more tbc

Tuesday June 26th.  At The Portland Arms, Cambridge
Sweet Empire - Dutch punk rock dudes
Victory Points - Newish Cambridge band, loosely somewhere along the Good Luck, Superchunk route.
plus 1 or 2 more tbc

I've got a couple of cool bands up my sleeves for both of these, however if you fancy playing either of these give me a shout

Re: East Anglia (Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Cambridge)

Sweet Empire from Holland are coming over to the UK this summer and they're stopping by in Cambridge on Tuesday 26th June at The Portland Arms.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v475/marsters/SweetEmpireresize.png

Sweet Empire (Holland)

Four friends, sharing a love of independent music, came together in the summer of 2008 to establish their own musical kingdom: Sweet Empire.
All of them experienced by playing in local punk and hardcore bands, they started to create songs that are melodic and playful, yet at the same time deadly serious. Bringing to mind bands like Descendents, and Dag Nasty among others.
We have a strong opinion on animal rights, each others recordcollections, the environment, politics, and the great hoax: organised religion.

Big Success (Norwich)

These three chaps played with Bangers a few months ago, and were great, so they're coming back. Indie punk along the lines of The Replacements

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Big-Succ … 1522964354

It's Not OK! (London)
Oliver John Ward of Rooftops and Fletch Cadillac fame playing with The Apostates. Melodic hardcore like Off With Their Heads
https://www.facebook.com/itsnotoktobethisway

Victory Points (Cambridge)

Your new favorite band, even if you haven't seen them before. Maybe they'll have some cd's by this gig?
https://www.facebook.com/VictoryPoints

I think this is £5 to come in, doors at atound 8pm.
At The Portland Arms, Cambridge on Tuesday June 26th!
The poster was done by the wonderful Becky from Victory Points.

Norfolk is a dark and mysterious place with many brazen rituals.

I'd also say it's pretty much supporting all of the East Anglian Punk scene at the moment.
