Don't know if it's been mentioned but I believe Six Feet Under rec's are planning on re-releasing Tear It Up's "Nothing to Nothing" LP which should be a lovely treat.

Doesn't quite live up to the promise of the 7" but it's solid. A keeper, at the very least.

anyone heard this ?

Stripmines: Sympathy Rations 7"

Raleigh, North Carolina's Stripmines released one of the most talked-about demo tapes of 2010, but those of us lucky enough to have seen the band live knew right away that that recording paled in comparison to what the band is capable of live. Now that we finally have a recording that captures their power, the rest of the world can appreciate the two-ton wrecking ball that is this band... take the stage-dive-inducing mosh parts of bands like Wasted Time, add in some Totalitär influence in the fast parts, and top it off with one of the angriest and most intense vocalists since John Brannon in his heyday, and you have Stripmines. Prepare to be crushed. Includes mp3 download and obi strip. 150 copies on yellow vinyl for mailorder only.

The song they have up is alright, but not in to it enough to go for it.  I've been hearing good things about that Shards LP he has out.  Sorry State is probably one of my favorite distro/labels going right now.  I don't dig everything he puts out, but it's all at least solid.  Also stoked for the new No Way stuff http://www.nowayrecords.com/site/ especially the Much Worse 7"

There is so much that I long for
But I know nothing is free

Re: Hardcore punk / new releases / small talk thread...

I didn't really like the Stripmines MP3 I heard. I want to pick up that Shards lp though. Caught them live a couple years back and they were really good.

I keep meaning to order the Much Worse - Proper Execute 7". Any distros in the UK have this?

Ah, I did have this but I sold my copy. I was pretty underwhelmed by it after really enjoying the 7"s.

Ahh got Folded Shirt on the way, definitely excited. Also ordered the new FY FAN and MUCH WORSE 7"s on a whim from No Way. The last FY FAN record was fucking great so I've got high hopes for this one.
