Re: whats all this??

saw Flats playing with Mazes in London a few weeks ago. someone in the crowd got glassed halfway through the first song, then all the band jumped in the crowd and looked really punk. everyone i mentioned it to said "publicity stunt", which i didn't really understand until this thread, because i knew nothing about the band.

anyway, they were total shite

This is a true story. I once saw Gold Blade play live in Manchester, the singer had left his fly open and his testicles were hanging out of his trousers for the whole set. I don't think he noticed.

seems strangely symbolic now

I forgot to mention they were leather trousers. I don't know why but it just feels important to add that.

I wear leather jeans - but I have a motorbike so I have an excuse

And I'm not John Robb. Never met him. Like his website though. I like Flats. Seen them in London a few times. Love the way they piss you teletubbies and trolls off.

the e-mail address that you used to register is listed on the john robb website here:

in an article posted by someone called 'john robb'. i guess there is an explanation for that though.

I think this backs up my opinion of him being a wally.

He really does look like an inquisitive pineapple. bless.

Re: whats all this??

See what I don't get; these old guys (goldblade chap etc) have tried to make a living off the buzz word "punk" so why do they have any credibility with anyone?  It's like the sad old 50 something "punks" you see shuffling around town on a Saturday, sad balding manes carved into half hearted 'hawks wearing their creepers and bondage breeks all to keep the spirit alive.

The dream is dead man, you achieved nothing with your life and you never, ever, will.  Your strategy was flawed from the outset and you were all just a victim of marketing and fashion.

No one will remember you, no one will miss you, you are, in the eyes of the world, nothing.
