Re: Record shop thread

i like Honest Jons on Portobello Road.

Edgeworld in Brighton sadly closed down a while back but they seem to be doing monthly "record shop in a pub" afternoons. seems like a good idea.

Re: Record shop thread

i work in a used/rare record shop called purple vinyl in stratford-upon-avon. definitely worth checking out if you ever pass through the midlands. big punk section, mostly 70s/80s. lots of insanely rare folk, psych and prog if you have a spare few hundred quid to spend. tonnes of reasonably priced great records too.

what he said.

Re: Record shop thread

Greenwich music and video exchange was great when I went there last as it has all the records people sell to Chris Bress. Also, I quite like Reckless Records on berwick st, soho as it has quite a good 'all round' selection and generally very reasonably priced - went there thursday and found more stuff than I could afford. Got an awesome blues roots double lp with bukka white, lightnin hopkins etc. for a tenner, dead boys, die kreuzen, the nips, ramones, all good shit. Sometimes it's a bit shit though.

Re: Record shop thread

still never been to the Greenwich MVE. it is odd seeing loads of hc/punk stuff in the Berwick St & Notting Hill ones though.

the Soul Jazz shop just off berwick street is incredible as well.

Re: Record shop thread

Re: Record shop thread
