Topic: The Shapes and I Ludicrous. Prince Albert Brighton 27/7/17

The Shapes formed in 1977. Their singles 'Wot's For Lunch Mum, Not Beans Again, 'I Saw Batman in the Launderette', etc became John Peel punk pop classics. Reformed in 2008, latest single 'Don't Play Tennis' was our fave last year.

I Ludicrous gained notoriety when 'Preposterous Tales' reached no. 11 in the 1987 Festive 50. They've been gigging ever since, first as a duo & now with Martin Brett from Voice of The Beehive. Recent LP, 'Dull is the New Interesting' received great reviews. Another new album is due soon!
