A horrible hack

Unholy Grave / Nakay - split 5"

added by Alex Deller on Friday May 18 2012 in New Releases

Raw and furious grindcore from Japan vs blackened grind noise from the States. Somehow Nakay manage a track per inch (including an Assόck cover) on their side. Intriguing.

Joie de Vivre / Football etc Euro Tour Dates!

added by Andy Malcolm on Tuesday May 15 2012 in Gigs

Top 'mo practitioners, Joie de Vivre and Football etc are on tour, over here. Good grief! Football etc are only playing the UK dates, mind you. Mostly as they can't stand the euro currency, I heard. Nor the French. Just kidding. Anyway, both bands have albums out on STRICTLY NO CAPITAL LETTERS (basically what I am doing here is spoofing the official press release which says that Count Your Lucy Stars were responsible for releasing records by these bands and neglects to give credit to my label at all, which is insane, given that this is a European tour and sncl is based in Europe, and, erm, the USA isn't? US music websites that talk about these bands rarely bother mentioning sncl, possibly as they are racist, not that I am bitter or anything)

So here are the tour dates...

New Perfect Future lp

added by Andy Malcolm on Friday May 4 2012 in New Releases

Ever since Perfect Future released their 2009 debut album on Count Your Lucky Stars and strictly no capital letters, they have been working on their follow up record. After three years, two split 7" records, a split LP, the addition of a second guitarist, and five tours, the follow up to the East Coast band’s self-titled record has been completed.

"Old Wounds: Warmth in the Winter of 1914-1915" is a concept record for a world at war; Looking back to the past, Perfect Future looks at a brief moment in the 20th century to come to terms with destruction and to provide hope for a new way of living. "Old Wounds" sees guest appearances from fellow CYLS bands Empire! Empire!, Two Knights, and Warren Franklin. Additional guest musicians include members of Pulling Teeth, Wits End, Sleep Bellum Sonno, The Ground is Lava, Lizards Have Personalities, and many more.
