Here's a band featuring members of Plaids, Mars To Stay and Facel Vega. Should be enough to get a few people interested. Artefact are based in Cardiff and have something of a brooding post punk slant - you'll hear the influence of Siouxsie & The Banshees along the way as well as The Cure and probably a bunch of other bands that I'm far less familiar with. Hannah Saunders' vocals lead the tracks and lyrically they are sometimes a little dark - see "Poison" ("Spare me from every drop of poison, your poison, you're poison"). That might be my choice of the songs on here. The slower, brooding "Boudicca" is another good one but it's a nice debut all round - they have a pretty accomplished sound already too. Apparently this might end up on a physical release on tape or CD-r so keep an eye out for news on that.
