Great timing boys. Just as I'm getting over the "Stop Giving" EP from about a year and a half ago, you go and kindly drop another thirty minutes of pure riff joy for my delectation. I kind of damned the EP with faint praise by saying how much it sounded like old-skool Helmet, and let's face it, it totally did, but that didn't stop the damn thing from just about being pretty much my most played record during that section of my life. This is stuffed full of righteous jams, zero fat riffs pushed through grunge tones and deceptively mathy turn-on-a-dime time changes that keep it compelling. The atonal chord progressions and drill sergeant vox form the core of proceedings, but sometimes you'll get some soaring melodies and sung vocals ("Entourage" , "High Chair") which temper things nicely. A total half hour of power.
