Gotta wonder whether a band naming their album 'Electric Glitter Boogie' and packaging it in a faux snakeskin sleeve aren't trying a tad too hard, but, hey, these guys just about get away with it on the strength of their music. Power (or should that be POWER?) play a tuff, sneery brand of swagger n' brawl punk that sounds to me like the Murder City Devils charging through cuts from the second Colored Balls LP. Well, maybe that's over-egging it a little but the spirit's certainly there – the thing struts around like it owns the place, gobs on the floor and chugs down whatever dregs are left in last night's beer cans before stealing your car keys and slamming the door behind it. What nasty rascals!
