Four long tracks of heavy stoner/doom metal from this Stoke-on-Trent band. Things groove and galumph, the vast leaden riffs slouching along while drums clatter and proggish wibbles circle overhead. Occasionally some bored-sounding vocals make themselves known, and when they do you rather wish they hadn't. Ultimately Space Witch seem – like so many other doom acts – to have fallen under the misapprehension that to be 'epic' and ‘immersive’ you just have to rely on duration. This really isn't the case, and if they don't want to end their days forever supporting crap acts like Conan then they need to stop, take stock and figure out how to get their listeners to nod along rather than nod off.
