Blackstrobe play dark synth-led 80s pop that’s catchy and easy to dance too. They could very easily fit in with the eighties revival of late along with bands such as Fischerspooner, Adult and The Faint. This is a style I don’t really mind, but at the same time I wouldn’t tend to want to play at home. This is a dj’s wet dream basically, and sits along side songs such as “fear of jealous lovers” and “seventeen” really well.

The reason I got this is because it has a genuinely good pop song structure that I find a lot of these groups miss. It also has a more techno version on it that would be great to dance too if you were off your tits.

If you like eighties synth pop like Soft Cell and the Human League as well as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Laurent Garnier and the Faint you’re probably going to like this.
