I simply cannot play this before bedtime, otherwise I'll be up half the night, humming the fucker. For a straight-up half-hour blast of hyper-tuneful, grungy rock, look no further. BC have it distilled down to its purest, most insanely addictive form. Some of you may recognise the vocal twang of Joshua Loucka from mid-90's New York (post) hardcore band Shift, and he has not left his innate feel for a memorable tune and a grand crunchy riff behind him. His voice is pitch-perfect, distinctive and emotive, and backed up by musicians who know when to get the fuck in there and when to get the fuck out. Even when track 9 rips off "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", a sweeeet chorus saves the day, and you're back to all-killer, no-filler. This is a total joy from start to finish. Yay!
