Urgent-sounding modern hardcore like J. R. Ewing, Sick Of Silence or Refused when they decided they were ‘the shape of punk to come.' Short, sharp, songs tinged with hope and conspiracy. Energy and emotion, the melodies splashed alongside well-placed discords. Yelled vocals and subtle noises burped from the belly of some electronic device or other. I like this quite a lot. And so, probably, will you. Until, naturally, some other people start to as well.
