Ha ha! Now, if you do a quick search through some reviews on this page you'll find one of my meaner efforts really slating this bands last CD. I couldn't stand it. I saw them live last summer, I fell asleep. But for a laugh it seems, they have gone and made an 8 track, 12 and a half minute long raging hardcore CD, and it's pretty fucking tight! I was expecting it to be super polished and fall flat on it's arse, but these guys have made a real good go of taking a traditional old hardcore sound and adding a bit to it. It's rough and the vocals are raw and angry, and although you occasionally hear some of their normal style such as on the iffy "Beautiful Lives", they do a fine job of carrying off the more straight up hardcore tracks. The recording is slightly distorted and has the air of being kind of old sounding. They should have put this on 10" for the full fucking effect! Fuck CDs!

What else? Well, there is a pretty standard and true to the original cover of "No Reason" by Minor Threat that is good fun. There are also hints of Rites of Spring on songs like "And Still We Fall" at times, which I can't complain about! And the distant screamy vocals on "Pleased to Leave With Grace" make it sound like fucking Candyland Car Crash. GET IN!

This band should stop playing the other stuff they are known for and concentrate on being hardcore bastards as they do it really well! This is way more emo than anything they have done before! Nice one, Very good indeed!
