When Against Me! recorded their last record, they did two versions of most of the songs. One acoustic version, and one more rocked up version with the full band. They had a hard time deciding which version to use of some of those. As a result, the ever philanthropic No Idea! have stepped forward and offered to put out some of the unused tracks on brightly coloured slabs of vinyl. This is the first, with another to follow soon I believe.

Side A is the “acoustic” version of “Cavalier Eternel”. To be honest, I thought that this was one of the weakest tracks on the last LP. The full band version was hardly mind blowing.. This version is much the same. Only slower. Total waste of space to be honest. Side B is the alternate version of “You look like I need a drink”. This is much, much better. Its a different arrangement (with added double bass and country guitar), giving the song a different feel to the version on the album without robbing it of its quality. So one good, one bad. Not essential.

I’d like to note that this comes on pink/lime green split coloured vinyl. Possibly the best advert for plain black vinyl I have ever seen in my puff.
