I forget how exactly i came by this record, i think it was a freebie in a package from Revelation or something stupid like that, one of those things where you usually get old random comp CDs or a Simba promo, but for some reason this time I got this, and I'm pretty glad I did.

A Five And Dime Ship play sort of dreamy trippy instrumental music for lying on your bed with your eyes closed just drifting, post-rock? Maybe, I don't really know what that is though so maybe not, I dunno...

Like a lot of instrumental music i find it has a really strange sadness to it all and I sort of wonder how bands go about writing stuff like this, such warm beautiful music using what is a fairly standard range of instruments when so many bands can't do anything decent in a much more straight forward context...

This style I have to say is fairly new to me so maybe it wouldn't impress people used to it quite as much as it does me, but this record is just fucking amazing, shame they'll probably be never heard from again.....
