Starting with some deceptively clean guitar chords before launching headfirst into their incendiary brand of hardcore, Crudos prove yet again why they were one of the greatest bands to blast their way through the nineties. Fast, furious and stupendously inspirational, these songs prove that you honestly don’t have to settle for second-rate bullshit thrash with nothing to say when you can get it as good as this. Fan-fucking-tastic.

MK-Ultra on the flip more than hold their own, utilising the same rapid-fire jabbering vocals as Crudos, but with a burlier overall delivery. The band smash through three songs tackling the likes of hardcore’s commercialisation and the insane cycle of debt so many of us are plummeting into. Mad as hell and sounding more like a frighteningly efficient logchipper than humans making music, MK-Ultra finish what Los Crudos so rabidly started on what is indeed that rare, rare breed: the essential seven inch record.
