The first thing that you can't fail to notice is the crisp production of this 4 track CD. It sounds positively expensive, even when filtered through my cheapy hi-fi equipment from decades past. Which is good because when you're playing melodic rock such as the Billion Dollar Mission purvey, its almost a pre-requisite for any kind of aural pleasure. Comparison wise you're going to be looking towards bands such as Fireside and to a greater extent Starmarket. But while I like both of those bands I'm kinda of left out in the cold by Billion Dollar Mission. This band is clearly competent and they even have some half interesting lyrics which makes for a welcome change. However, my concentration wavered after just a couple of plays, and I certainly can't see myself going back to this CD very often. You'd be wise to check out their live I'm sure (playing in the UK about the time I typing this) but perhaps give this EP a miss.
