It is made unfeasibly clear within the time span of the opening song as to whether you will be soon be sporting an inscrutable grin and clutching this LP close to your chest. Because, at the risk of stealing the most overused cliché to have ever graced the footballing world, Watercloset really do set their stall out from the onset. *cringe*
Yes its Japanese pop-punk of the ever so popular Snuffy Smile brand, girl/boy vocals (incidentally the girl has that cute, I've just left primary school style of singing) and the ever ingenious introduction of handclaps and xylophone melodies. And thats me sold, there and then. Pure fucking pop bliss. And better yet they keep it going for eleven more songs, complete with fragmented english lyrics and crisp guitar hooks.
Time to chalk Watercloset down as another success for Japanese punk-rock and 'Again & Again' as another sterling release for Rugger Bugger.
