ATM is like a bus. You wait ages and three (records) come along at once. The public transportation metaphor is further stretched by the fact that they seem a bit piss-soaked and there’s always some loony yelling at you. A band that prides themselves on the quality of their riffs, all metal influences filtered through a hardcore lens, all at the scientifically determined correct headbanging tempo, whilst still being bruisingly heavy. I wouldn’t rank this as one of their best moments, and the production seems to lack a little in terms of piercing high-end, but it’s still a fine slice of urban paranoia that gets straight to the matter in hand; i.e. rocking your lame ass.

Mfkzt (pronounced “muff-ker-zutt” obviously) acquit themselves very well with their psycho drum-machine powered metal attack. They border on the grind side of things, but rein it in a little so that everything is discernible and it doesn’t get too blurry. Some proficient and catchy guitar work and a vocal performance that really goes for it equals a good Slayer-esque time.
