I have no idea who this band is, normally the promo stuff we get sent is terrible, but this isn't actually too bad. It could be the fact that I am ill and have a chest full of gunge that is making me unable to hold up my normal tough standards for promo cds, but this just sounds pretty solid to me. The first song gives you some mid-paced post hardcore with pretty rocking riffage and strong vocals, basically "Wilder Than This" to me it sounds like a cleaned up Jawbox and its not remotely shabby at all. I've certainly heard far far worse, and to be honest I didn't expect to like it at all, which was a nice surprise. The other song is called "The Sinner", and its quite different, coming on in a more swirly, almost shoegaze fashion with atmospheric guitars, before building up and getting a bit more noisy and repetetive for the duration. It goes on for 5 minutes though, which was far too long as I was ready for it to end by the half way point.

Overall, a reasonable listen.
