The fact that the vinyl version of this is out on the utterly unimpeachable Putrid Filth Conspiracy Records should be an immediate indicator as to this album's considerable worth (not that CAH Recs aren't pretty solid too). It's hard to come up with ways of encouraging people to listen to thrashy hardcore punk as it can all be much of a muchness, especially with the surfeit of merely mediocre (no fast band could ever be totally rubbish) bands biting this style. It's just that some bands come along that are better than others. Diskonto rage because they're no frills and make every effort to make things catchy and exciting. They're not the fastest, hardest or most proficient band ever, but it feels human at least, with a bit of soul (not the musical genre) to the proceedings that makes me want to take to the streets and lamp the next politician I come into contact with. Lyrics are sung in Swedish, but come with English explanations, plus there's an entire great-sounding live set tacked onto the end which really kicks, man.
