A horrible hack

Nearly pointless release here from the usually sound Rise Above, kicking off with doom-laden Frenchies Monarch who turn in a dreary version of Turbonegro’s I Got Erection and smirk while they do so. True enough, the original’s a hoot, but hearing this lot shuck off their po-faced gloom and guffaw rowdily does neither the Norsemen who penned it nor those currently responsible any favours. Leave it to Moss, then, to rescue the whole sorry debacle, sinking their monstrous fangs into Discharge’s Maimed And Slaughtered and disfiguring the damn thing to the point that its own parents wouldn’t recognise it lying there on the hospital gurney, all gutted and manglefucked by this mob’s mean-spirited trawl through doom’s vilest charnel pits.
