Three tracks of sexy, simplistic rock n’ roll from London’s Black Time, linking primal, shuffling dance beats to loose, wiry guitar snaps and snot n’ sneer vocals. ‘Girls in the Garage’ slinks across the a-side with its mid-paced groove and boy-girl trade-offs whilst the flip offers up one rambunctious punker (a Real Losers cover) and the slower, Neolithic stomp of ‘Link Wray’. Good stuff and make no mistake, but, as with their slot opening for the legendary Monks, you do end up occasionally hankering for the kind of oomph that'd really help get the dance party started...
