James Bunten, connoisseur of emo, spotted this being sold by Bis Aufs Messr the other week and picked one up for me. You may or may not be surprised to hear that they got the description wrong, stating that it's a discography whereas it's actually just the band's songs from their 1996 split with Carther Matha and Rachel. It is easy to forget that Peu Être had a lot of output, and songs such as these have been nigh impossible to get hold of on a physical format until now. The only downside is that only 125 have been pressed, so you better get in quick if you want one.

For the unaquinted, Peu Être played some of the best French emo from the nineties. I never realised until now how great the drumming is; the songs are built strongly around this with the riffs playing second fiddle somewhat. When everything gets going along with the dual vocals it is magnificent. The lyrics are given in French and English and despite losing a little bit in the translation make interesting reading. Hats off to Petr for sorting this one out.
