Four new songs by Best Practices here. I couldn't wait to hear this as "The EP LP" blew me away last year and would have made my top 5 LPs if I had accepted it as an LP without my overly strict regulations as to what is and isn't an LP. This is straight out of the blocks with "GameChanger" and is similarly rowdy and raucous to the opener on that record. "Home For Halloween" surprisingly starts with a melancholy acoustic part before the band crashes in and it becomes a bit of a brother to "Devona" off the last record with its angular, awkward riff punctuating proceedings. Is that really "ooh la la" that he is yelling too? I think it is! The production on here has nailed it again. It sounds raw and captures every ounce of their energy...which is shedloads by the way and you can thank Will Killingsworth for that. If you like "The EP LP" you can pretty much guarantee that you will like this. Something new is the length of the tracks - two of them are over 3 minutes which is "War and Peace"-like by their standards. Absolutely one of the finest current bands around at the moment if you ask me. I can't say enough good words about them so I will end it here before I gush any further.
