I like it when an album, based on the title and artwork, gives absolutely no hint about what kind of music it's going to broadcast. It means that for at least a moment it manages to avoid the cliches of a particular genre. On the flipside, I guess you might say the artwork and name are boring; each to their own.

It's a shame then that upon playing, Clover play fairly standard metal/hardcore. I think the problem is that since Botch came and went they pretty much made all other metalcore irrelevant for me. So I should really stay away from reviewing it. The album does have its moments: 'Ragnarok' is a bit different due to its slower nature. But by the time I get to 'Disobey' it sounds like the album has restarted. The vocals are so samey it's ridiculous. Ultimately, the music is as bland as the album cover.
