The second Crimen album dropped late last year and somehow managed to slip under a lot of peoples' radars. Quite possibly to do with it only receiving a cassette release due to an apparent middle man to the pressing plant ripping off the label. Well, that drama aside, this record definitely deserves more attention than it's been getting. A noticeable step up from their debut, with touches of post punk thrown in. They add the flourishes with just the right amount of subtlety that made the Deskonocidos LP so damn good. The album keeps a sturdy mid paced D-beat vibe for the most part with some impressive bass work and memorable song writing. Tracks like "No te confundas chavo " Bring to mind Orden Mundial, fast and ugly hardcore screamed in spanish. The songs tend to fluctuate between this and catchy as hell punk songs like "La marcha de las vocales" . The reverb breaks and post punk influenced parts is for sure what keeps this record interesting. If you're into Vaaska, Sudor and Deskonocidos, this album pretty much ticks the right boxes.
