Wasn't planning on reviewing anything at all this evening but I figured I'd write one of this as the 49ers - Bucs game is getting boring. I span this CD 4 times earlier today but missed 2 of those 4 times because I was eating breakfast or Madden 2003 was too loud or something, plus I had a stinking hangover. This music was pretty friendly to my fuzzy head, and it's only 20 minutes long too. Sprinzi are an Italian indie rock band who play highly melodic and bouncy stuff that features many classic Braid riffs. It's all very tuneful and has that kind of pleasant, mathy style that Braid had going at times, where it'll go off in a variety of directions but still remain rather smooth and simple to follow. I really like the vocals, the guy sounds a bit like Nick Drake at times, strange! And on "Sand and Water" (my favourite here) everything sounds like Boilermaker, from the structure to the singing. They do a good job. Also I would compare this to mid-period Lovesick, but without that weird, inexplicable DIY-emo charm that made the 'sick so damn special. Whatever, in this review I have compared them to 3 of my favouritest bands ever so make of that what you will.

Sprinzi are touring the UK later this year apparently, I think they'll go down pretty well, give them a look if you enjoy the catchy indie rock thing.
