What could be more difficult than reviewing three songs on a cdep? Perhaps when you have ingredients like essays, exams, procastination, depression and marriage all thrown in, it could result in a reviwer's worst nightmare.

Now since that is all over and the holidays have begun, it is time to turn the stereo full up and listen to what has been collecting dust in the corner. And this little gem when dusted off displays a mighty excellent artwork that cannot be ignored. A cut out heart from a piece of cloth stiched onto brown paper bound by a maroon ribbon complete with typewritten lyrics and some nifty drawings. The volume turns up and all hell breaks loose.

The introducing track 'fourty four sunsets' holds me back and when the shouted/spoken vocals come in it is hard not to mention that it is highly reminscent of the guitarist/vocalist previous roots. Old school emo elements mixed with hardcore leanings will bring you back to the days when you once listened to old Ebullition records and rocked out to The Last Forty Seconds. Suddenly it is the final track and it is soft, quiet and twinkly. But not for long when Maddox decides to bring the house down again and roar uncontrollably and this one might I add is slightly different than the first two pieces as it probably exhibits more originality with odd time signatures and stuff. And it's really good and I like it a lot. So yeah.

They've got a 7" out and and lp is in the works. Thumbs up to them as well as having The Little Prince reference for the bandname.

By the way, I was kidding about marriage. (for grown ups never understand anything by themselves.)
