East collides with West on this release, a transatlantic grudge match that could well result in the total destruction of us all! Skitkids are an utterly fucking frenzied Scandi-hardcore assault on the senses, tearing heads off at a bazillion mile an hour, injecting their fast and very effing furious d-beat with some shredding rock n’ roll guitar solos that owe more than a nod to Motörhead and put this shit (skit?) beyond the reaches of most would-be contenders. Though the scales are tipped against them from the start Exhale do their best not to be outdone, putting up their dukes for a flurry of lung-punctured hyperspeed Japanese thrash that goes heavy on the breakdowns and manic bleck-bleck-bleeaurgh vocals without the slightest concern for anyone’s safety, it’s great in itself but those pesky Skitkids are just too hot to trot today, resulting in a hands-down win for the Swedes and a truly fucking marvellous record all round.
