Accidentally missed this band play earlier in the year but really didn't think much about my omission when I realised it a few days after the gig. Why? Because I kinda had Six Brew Bantha figured for a jokey, probably-woulda-been-ok-live band who wouldn't be up to much on record. I was wrong, and now I feel a deep sense of shame and regret. This album, see, is a bit of a bloody monster. Harsh, grinding hardcore that matches the thunking low-end CHUNNN-N-N-N-N-N of the early Earache canon with the kind of slips and twists you might expect from an Agents Of Abhorrence record. While the record blasts by at pace things never quite become a mindless blur and you can distinguish - and, heck, even remember - whole riffs despite their frantic, brutal delivery. It really is a bit of a treat, and while I'd advise someone to fiddle with the drum sound the next time they record I otherwise don't have much fault to find with it.
